LADY BULLDOGS BEST LEMOYNE OWEN ON SENIOR NIGHT

Tougaloo, Miss. - The Lady Bulldogs hold off the Lady Magicians of LeMoyne Owen College to secure a 3-2 senior night victory in the Dawg Pound.

After losing in straight sets to the Lady Magicians in Memphis, the Lady Bulldogs looked to get revenge in the home game finale for senior night. The Lady Magicians took the first set 25-21. The second set was a dog fight, but it was the Lady Bulldogs that came out on top with the 31-29 set win. The Lady Bulldogs took set three 25-19, but the Lady Magicians just would not give up; taking set four 25-17. In the final set, the Lady Magicians jumped out on top, but the Lady Bulldogs rallied back to snatch the 15-11 set win and claim a 3-2 victory over the Lady Magicians.

In her curtain call in the Dawg Pound, Taikeidra Joseph led the Lady Bulldogs with 10 kills along with Bailey Jones, who had 10 kills of her own with 4 service aces. Aaliyah Causey followed with 8 kills. Teriyana Tolbert in her curtain call in the Dawg Pound had 12 assists for the Lady Bulldogs. Also playing her last home game as a Lady Bulldog, Charis Peterson led the defense with 14 digs. Tyneisha Reeds followed with 12 digs.

The Lady Bulldogs will wrap up the 2021 regular season on Saturday as they travel to New Orleans to take on Fisk University and Dillard University in a GCAC Round-up. First game is slated for 3:00 P.M. against Fisk with the final game being against the host Dillard at 5:00 P.M.
