Lady Bulldogs Snap Five Game Losing Skid
Tougaloo, Miss. - After a heartbreaking loss to William Carey on Tuesday night in Hattiesburg, the Lady Bulldogs returned home in hopes on 2 things; snapping a 5-game losing skid and remaining undefeated in conference play. And the Lady Bulldogs accomplished both in good fashion with a 3-1 (25-13, 21-25, 25-22, 25-11) victory over the Lady Knights.
The Lady Bulldogs started off pretty rough, but picked things up pretty fast enroute to their 3-1 victory over the Lady Knights. The win kept the Lady Bulldogs undefeated in conference play and advance them to 7-8 overall, 3-0 GCAC.
Megan Besecker led the Lady Bulldogs with 12 kills. Carolyne Edwards followed with 10 kills. Jedda Alcee led the defense with 18 digs and Kierstin Salley tallied a career-high 9 blocks for the Lady Bulldogs. Alexandra Jwainat commanded the offense with 28 assists. The Lady Bulldogs will be back in action on Monday as they host Dillard University in what can be considered as the GCAC Game of the Week. Match is scheduled for 6:00 P.M. in the Dawg Pound.
