TOUGALOO DROPS DECISION TO BELHAVEN
JACKSON, Miss.- The Belhaven women's tennis team took a non-conference win over Tougaloo College on Tuesday afternoon. The Blazers defeated the Bulldogs 9-0 bumping their season record to 10-4.
The women swept the entire singles and doubles competition as Ana Arreygue brought the first victory of the day in two sets 6-1, 6-0. Indi Mire won her match 6-0, 6-1 while Mary Khris Young claimed a 6-4, 6-3 advantage. Both Shelley Munn and Mary Carole Kiewit took their opponent down 6-0, 6-0. Amber Robinson won her match through default.
In the doubles competition, Elizabeth Chrestman/Latoya Williams defeated Booth/May 8-1, while Shelley Munn/Savannah Zachry was credited with a 8-0 win. Natalia Krier/Indire Mire tabbed a win from default on Tougaloo's behalf.
