LADY BULLDOGS ESCAPE LATE SCARE FROM OAKWOOD

Tougaloo, Miss. - The Lady Bulldogs continue winning ways with a 75-67 win over Oakwood University last night in the Dawg Pound.

The Lady Bulldogs hosted the Lady Ambassadors of Oakwood University last night on the Lafayette Stribling Court in the Dawg Pound. The Lady Bulldogs had a slow start in the 1st quarter, but found their rhythm in the 2nd quarter to take a 39-35 halftime lead. In the 3rd quarter, the Lady Bulldogs continued to pour it on the Lady Ambassadors to lead the game 62-46 going into the final quarter. The Lady Ambassadors made a run in the final quarter, but it wasn't enough to bring down the Lady Bulldogs and the Lady Bulldogs escape with the win.

Dominique Caldwell led the Lady Bulldogs with 16 points. Shawanda Gray followed with 12 points and Berniya Hardin added 11 points. The Lady Bulldogs will be back in action on Wednesday as they visit former GCAC foe Xavier University at the Convocation Center in New Orleans, LA. Game is set for 5:30 P.M.
