LADY BULLDOGS EXTENDS WIN STREAK, DEFEATS FISK

Tougaloo, MS-The Tougaloo College Women's Basketball team hosted the Lady Bulldogs of Fisk University for Military Night in the Dawg Pound tonight. The Lady Bulldogs defeated the Fisk Lady Bulldogs 79-69 to extend its win streak to 3 and improve to 15-6, 6-3 GCAC.

The Lady Bulldogs and the Fisk Lady Bulldogs would have a battle in the first half, but it would be the Lady Bulldogs that would have the 37-35 halftime edge over Fisk. In the second half, Fisk would try to make a comback, but the Lady Bulldogs would prove to be too much for Fisk, as they would roll to a 79-69 victory. The Lady Bulldogs shot for a total of 38% from the field, 27% from the arc, and 66% from the charity stripe. Fisk shot a total of 39% from the field, 33% from the arc, and 57% from the charity stripe. The Lady Bulldogs outrebounded Fisk 44-32.

Chasity Kearney led the Lady Bulldogs with 23 points and 17 rebounds. Portia Craft followed with 19 points, Keisha Mackall chipped in 17 points, and Erin Wells and Kierra Addison both tacked in 10 points apiece. The Lady Bulldogs will be back in action on Saturday as they travel to Talladega, AL to take on the Lady Tornadoes of Talladega College. Game time is set for 3:00 P.M.
