TOUGALOO CLAIM POSTSEASON AWARDS
Clinton, Miss. - At the conclusion of the 2021 GCAC Cross Country Championship, the Men's and Women's Cross Country All-Conference Runners and Coach of the Year awards were given. Tougaloo claimed three honors during the ceremony.
For the first time in over 15 years, Tougaloo claimed postseason awards in both men's and women's cross country in the same season. On the women's side, Morgan Hunter was named to the GCAC All-Conference team for her finish in the GCAC Championship. Hunter finished 9th overall in the GCAC Championship. Hunter is joined by the following runners:

- Rachel Jackson, Dillard University
- Mikiya Patterson, Philander Smith College
- Allyson Edwards, Philander Smith College
- Brooklyn Acosta, Dillard University
- Kevell Byrd, Dillard University
- Tiara Taylor, Edward Waters University
- Morgan Hunter, Tougaloo College
- Ayanna Allen, Philander Smith College
On the men's side, Trajan Fielder was named to the GCAC All-Conference team for his 4th place overall finish in the championship. Fielder was joined by the following runners:

- Trajan Fielder, Tougaloo College
- Tevrin Jackson, Dillard University
- Jourdan Bell, Edward Waters University

After the all-conference awards were given out, the conference announced the GCAC Coach of the Year. This year, it was a tie for the winner and Co-Coaches of the Year were announced. Tougaloo's Eric A. Pilcher was named one of the Co-Coaches of the Year. This is Coach Pilcher's third season at the helm of the Bulldog and Lady Bulldog team and his first ever GCAC honor. Coach Pilcher was joined by Dillard University's head coach, Nile Legania.
The All-Conference teams for cross country consist of the Top 10 runners of the GCAC Championship. The Coach of the Year is a vote of conference coaches.
