HURRICANE ISSAC DELAYS TOUGALOO'S 2012 SEASON OPENER

Tougaloo, MS-The Tougaloo College Men's & Women's Cross Country teams were scheduled to open their 2012 season at Choctaw Trails in Clinton, MS. Unfortunately, the Choctaw Open hosted by Mississippi College had to be cancelled due to the threats of Hurricane Issac, delaying the opening of the Bulldogs and Lady Bulldogs' seasons.

The men's and women's cross country teams had been putting in alot of practice preparing for the open of the 2012 season, which was originally schedule to be August 31st at Choctaw Trails at the Choctaw Open hosted by Mississippi College. The week of the anticipated opening, Hurricane Issac came Louisiana and Mississippi, forcing schools to be closed and unfortunately, forcing meet officials to cancel the Choctaw Open.

The cancellation now pushes the Bulldogs and Lady Bulldogs' season to open on September 15th, as they are scheduled to participate in an invitational meet hosted by Mississippi State University in Starkville, MS. The teams are hoping for good weather in hopes of starting their 2012 season.
