FORMER BASKETBALL STANDOUT NAMED MVP AT SUMMIT
Tougaloo, Miss. - Former Bulldog standout, Tonzell Handy was recently named the 2020 Most Valuable Player of the Houston Basketball Summit in Cypress, TX.
The Basketball Summit Exposure Camps are set up to give players a platform to be seen by teams from around the world. The Basketball Summit Exposure Camps have been successful in multiple cities and have helped many players get signed to pro jobs around the world. The camps offer the opportunity to be seen in person by scouts, promoted to hundreds more online, and also have the opportunity to be selected for international tour teams which have helped get players signed.
Tonzell Handy, along with many other players from around the world participated in the Houston exposure camp held in Cypress, TX. Not only was Handy named MVP, but he was also named to the Summit's First Team. Handy, who is currently on roster for the Jackson Showboats; an ABA professional basketball team based out of Jackson, MS, was a standout player for the Tougaloo College Bulldogs from 2017-2019. He was named the 2019 Gulf Coast Athletic Conference Player of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, First Team Selection and NAIA First Team All-American. Handy also was chosen to play in the NAIA All-Star game, which featured the top players in the NAIA.
