Bulldogs on 4-Game Win Streak
Selma, Ala. - The Bulldogs escaped a late run by Selma to pick up a 91-89 victory and roll to a 4-game win streak.
The Bulldogs are off to the best start in the program's history since the 2010-2011 season. The Bulldogs struggled in the first half of the game as Selma put up a great fight. At halftime, Selma had a 47-46 edge over the Bulldogs. The Bulldogs and Selma went head to head in the second half, but the Bulldogs' Carlo McDonald sinked a jumper with 0.6 seconds left in the game to lift the Bulldogs to victory.
McDonald led the Bulldogs with 29 points. Denarius Odell followed with 22 points, Tonzell Handy posted his 4th double double with 14 points and 14 rebounds and Jadarius Haymer chipped in 13 points. The Bulldogs will be back in action on Monday as they travel to Ruston, LA to take on Division I foe Grambling State University. Tip-off is set for 7:00 P.M.
