Bulldogs Demolish Selma 110-67
Tougaloo, Miss. - The Tougaloo College Men's Basketball Team hosted Selma University for the first time since October 31, 2011 when they defeated Selma 68-65 in overtime here in the Dawg Pound. In this meeting, the Bulldogs demolished Selma 110-67 to advance to 5-1 on the season.
The Bulldogs are on a 3-game win streak after tearing Selma apart in the Dawg Pound on Tuesday night. The Bulldogs wasted no time jumping on Selma; taking an early lead and never looking back. The Bulldogs held a 56-30 halftime edge over Selma. The Bulldogs forced 27 turnovers and outrebounded Selma 36-32. The Bulldogs shot 58% from the field, 59% from behind the arc and 71% from the charity stripe.
Denarius Odell posted his first career double double in leading the Bulldogs with 20 points and 10 assists. Tonzell Handy followed with 18 points, Datavian Porter tacked in 16 points, Derrick Ashley chipped in 15 points and Dearius Griffin added 10 points. The Bulldogs will be back in action on Saturday as they travel to Selma University to try for a season sweep. Tip-off is set for 5:00 P.M.
