Bulldogs Suffer First Loss of the Season

Tougaloo, Miss. - The Tougaloo College Bulldogs suffered their first loss tonight as they fell to Wiley College in the Dawg Pound 94-87.

Although the Bulldogs outrebounded the Wildcats 38-29, the Wildcats shot 56% from the field and 75% from the free throw line compared to the Bulldogs' 41% shooting from the field and 68% from the free throw line to edge the Bulldogs in the Dawg Pound. At halftime, the Wildcats were leading 42-37. The Bulldogs put up a good fight in the second half, but the Wildcats proved to be too powerful for the Bulldogs.

Denarius Odell led the Bulldogs with 23 points followed by Tonzell Handy with 17 points. Jadarius Haymer tacked in 14 points and posted 12 rebounds for the Bulldogs. The Bulldogs retrun to action on Thursday as they host Texas College in the Dawg Pound. Tip-off is set for 7:00 P.M.
