HICKMAN, TORREY RECEIVE POSTSEASON HONORS

Tougaloo, Miss. - The Continental Athletic Conference announced its postseason awards for baseball on yesterday. Tougaloo's Tyler Hickman and La'Nas Torrey receive honors for the efforts in leading the Bulldogs this season.

Hickman, a junior infielder/pitcher from Clinton, Miss. and a two-time CAC Hitter of the Week was named to the All-Conference team at the At-Large position. Hickman ended the season with a career high .394 batting average with 50 hits (inclduing 7 doubles and 2 homeruns), 18 runs and 37 RBIs. Hickman was selected to play in the HBCU All-Star game in Atlanta, Ga. in June 2022.

Torrey, a senior outfielder from Moss Point, Miss. was named an All-Conference Honorable Mention. Torrey ended the season with a .298 batting average with 42 hits, 41 runs and 13 RBIs. He also had 39 stolen basees which landed him at #6 overall in the NAIA for stolen bases.
